Do this for any other folders you wish to sync with the server. Uncheck the option “When displaying hierarchy in Outlook, show only subscribed folders.” at the bottom of the window. Click “OK” to close the window and commit the options. This will resolve extremely slow synchronizations with Microsoft Outlook platforms. Hi all, I have a client that I just upgrade from 8.1 to 10, and now Outlook 2010 refused to cooperate. After the initial load, which for some reason is handled as if Outlook was a new install, it updated the inbox (3.99 gigs which seems to be a popular number for M$ to use regardless of inbox size) and then just hangs, stating that it's still updating. Actually the synchronizing seems to have stopped but the send/receive is hung up and it only allows e-mail to come in bunches. So if an e-mail is sent and Outlook goes to Send Receive all folders it takes hours for the Send Receive to finish. Torrent yigal mesika.

Is there a lot of items and lots of folders in the delegate mailbox? I've seen major sync issues in the past with shared mailboxes when there are over a certain number of folders, and some of the folders then stop syncing properly. This was in Outlook 2016. Microsoft acknowledged the issue in a support case and we tried temporarily converting the mailbox to a user mailbox with a licence and logging into it inside Outlook properly (no delegation) which fixed the issue.

I know this delegated access is required, but what happens if you add the managers mailbox to Outlook using their credentials? I.e. add an account and get the manager to type their credentials instead of relying on delegated access as a test. It may be easier to do this under a separate Outlook profile. Do the items sync now? If so, what happens if you reduce the amount of data to cache on the delegated version of the mail?
